Patric Hornqvist
Nashville coach Barry Trotz has said Hornqvist should make the team out of training camp as a top-six forward. While it may not happen this season, Trotz believes Hornqvist has the potential to score 30 goals. He had six at the World Championship this past spring.

If Hornqvist makes a splash it would be a major coup for the Predators, who waited to nab him in the seventh round of the 2005 Entry Draft. Hornqvist is 21 years old now and ready to make that splash after a strong career in the Swedish Elite League.
The candidate most likely to replace Radulov is the 21-year-old Swedish winger Patric Hornqvist. In only 53 games last year in the Swedish Elite League, Hornqvist knocked in 18 goals and 12 assists. A very instinctive player with a good nose for the net, Hornqvist is someone who many scouts see as a 25-goal scorer in the NHL.
Jonathan Ericsson
If you figure Nicklas Lidstrom, Brian Rafalski, Niklas Kronwall, Brad Stuart and Andreas Lilja are locks in Detroit, that means Ericsson will have to beat out Brett Lebda, Derek Meech and Kyle Quincey to play in the top six.

Ericsson, a forward turned defenseman, may be ready to do that. He looked comfortable in his eight NHL games last season, but the depth in Detroit will make it tougher for Ericsson to make an immediate splash. Whether it’s immediate or not, Ericsson could become an impact defenseman for the Wings.
Anton Stralman
After Tomas Kaberle and Pavel Kubina, there are five jobs available including spots on the top four and on the power play. One of Carlo Colaiacovo, Jonas Frogren, Ian White, and Mike Van Ryn will lose a job to prospect Anton Stralman, who showed flashes of brilliance at the end of last season. Stralman has a reasonable chance to make the top four and is almost certain to see second duty power play time throughout the season.
Tomas Kaberle is the top guy here. Anton Stralman, 22, came over from Sweden to play in the AHL and wound up on the Maple Leafs' roster after December. Stralman has been on an intensive nutrition and bodybuilding program this summer to get his weight up from 180 pounds.
One day...
